With digital electronics distance can be measured very accurately that through contactless meter is possible, and that is called ultrasonic range meter.
Objective: Constructing a Range meter showing distance between object and itself using Ultrasonic waves.
Methodology is simple; Range Detector Module connected to input pins of Controller Module detects range from opposite held object to its sensor position and fed it for further processing. The Controller Module with the help of memory resident program converts this ranged data into human readable form or text form and sends it to Display Module as visual information.
Applications:
¾ Used as contactless range meter.
¾ With suitable modification system can be showed different metrics conversion, date-time stamp it, alarm if user-set value is detected etc.
