Review: Line Follower Robot

The Robotics field is full of different kind of robots, ROV, line following robot, drone etc. For long run roads to monitor Line Following Robots are used in industrial floor area or military restricted areas. They follow the light/dark line drawn on dark/light background.
Pantech_LineFollowRobot
Objective: The construction of robot which follows light line drawn on dark background.

The robot senses light on its following path with the help of Light Sensor Module and sends it to Controller Module for further processing. The Controller Module’s memory resident program processes sensed information and accordingly generates motor control commands. These generated commands are fed to output port connected Driver Module for execution purpose.

The intended system needs properly painted line to follow.
Since only two modules are controlled, less care needed while designing and controlling system.

Applications & Features:

The system is used as Automatic monitor System at home/work-place [with proper on-board modules such as wireless camera, vacuum cleaner for cleaning area etc.].
The system used where long distance monitoring is needed [with proper on-board modules such as wireless camera, vacuum cleaner for cleaning area etc.].
The system is cost effective one as no need of driver.
Used in home, industrial floor, defense, warehouses etc.
Since system is embedded type and automatic, portability-N-installation is done very easily.
Changing and installation in new place is very easy.
