As automation is observed everywhere, sports sector is not prone to it. The Race Time Measurement System monitors and calculates the time taken by athlete to finish the race.
Objective: The objective is to create a system which measures and shows crossed finish line first crossed time.
The working of system goes like this: the system uses two IR Sensor pairs to detect finish line cross event. They are fixed opposite to each other to detect the crossing of athlete at finish line. As soon finish line cross is detected alarm is activated and finish time is displayed on display module.
The controller module with the help of its memory resident program does all these monitoring, measuring and result display actions.
