Robots are used everywhere, specially to automate something or some task. The Human Detecting Robot is one such system used instead of human/dog to seek lives under earth quake debris or at some hazardous situations.
Objective: The intended system is PC based Human Detection Robot and its movements are controlled at remote end [PC end] using old Radio Frequency communication. The proposed system is used to detect human presence at specific area or place.
Note that the Human Detection range is specified by the PIR or human detector sensor module used in system.
There are two units: User Unit and Robot Unit. The User Unit has PC or computer and RF Transmitter module. The Robot Unit has robot, controller module, RF Receiver Module, power unit and PIR/human detector Module. The forward and reverse commands are sent to robot from PC/computer and thus robot moves accordingly, if any human presence is detected stops and starts buzzing alarm sound.
Applications:
The PC based Human Detecting Robotic System is used by rescue units during natural disasters/casualties such as Tsunami, earthquakes, building collapses.
The system is used by defense people during war.
The system can be also used by security agencies to monitor restricted areas.
