Review: GSM Based Wireless Notice Board System

Notice Boards are used or needed everywhere such as public places, institutes or industries and community/stadium places. They need timely update, either minute-by-minute or day to day. So their placement is crucial factor as usually they are fitted at uncomfortable height/place and which makes they hard to update time-to-time.

Objective: Building a LCD based electronics Notice Board system controlled wireless using GSM Mobile phone hand set.

Note that the system can be modified at Notice Board end and displays message on Big LED bar display.

The system has two sections: User End and Notice Board End. At the User End user has to type his ‘Notice’ message in SMS format and send it to remote end GSM Modem as SMS [Short Message Service]. The Notice Board End reads the SMS and extracts Notice Board content to display it on user screen, LCD display. This unit is usually powered by Battery.

The system teaches how to read SMS message, extracts its contents from SMS, showing it on LCD screen and interfacing GSM module to Microcontroller chip.

Applications: The GSM based wireless notice board system can be used at Railway Stations, Bus Stations, Airports, Colleges, Industries, Hotel, and Exhibition Centers etc.
