As vehicles are increased on road so are more sophisticated and robust Traffic Light Controlling systems are needed. The simple such system is enough for controlling small number of on-road vehicles.
Objective: Constructing simple Traffic light control system for 4 road traffic controlling capacity. Note that pedestrian controlling or auto pre-programmed controlling facility is not implemented.
Methodology is simple, the Controller Module generate pre-defined interval signaling pulses and fed to respective 4 road traffic signal lights or LEDs. The system works infinitely in this manner and controls all 4 road traffic without any interrupt.
Applications:
¾ Used as Simple Traffic Control System, where vehicles are on road.
¾ With suitable modifications, system can be used as advanced Traffic Control System, viz., adding pedestrians light, manual-auto modes so that in auto mode preprogrammed timings are used to run system etc.
¾ Usually traffic based Signal controlling is needed in high traffic areas, and can be achieved with suitable modification in software and hardware.
