GSM is the buzz word, while designing any automation system for study purpose. Automation of Home/Work place is common using long range communication technology, called GSM. The GSM enabled System can be used to monitor remote area by standing at safe and comfortable nearby place.
Objective: The construction of system which allows user to monitor remote area standing at safe and comfortable nearby place. Note that getting current status of the monitor area can also be implemented with slight code and hardware change at both ends.
The methodology is like this: the Human Detector Module monitors the area and any human presence is detected sends alert signal to Controller Module. Then the Controller Module with the help of memory resident program generates alert SMS to pre-stored mobile number and sends it to it immediately. As user at remote end receives alert SMS on his mobile phone approaches monitoring area or take appropriate action to clear alert situation.
Note that GSM network is necessary for working of this system.
Since only two modules are controlled, less care needed while designing and controlling system.
Applications & Features:
The system is used as wireless remote monitoring System at home/work-place.
Since single point control is possible, useful for non-technical people.
Since system is embedded type and wireless, portability is done very easily. Changing monitoring area is very easy.
Monitoring Zones are Elderly House, Child-care, Hazardous areas in industry, restricted areas in defense, hospital wards, Warehouses, Pump set/harvesting areas in agriculture etc.
