In Robotics or industries where precision is needed stepper motor are used widely. Any system dealing with stepper motor is worth doing. The two prime parameters of the stepper motor are direction and speed.
Objective: The construction of system which allows user to control stepper motor using Personal Computer or PC.
The system comprised of PC or computer, stepper motor control unit and stepper motor itself. The Graphical User Interface of PC is used to control the stepper motor. User can change direction of motor or speed of it by pressing respective buttons on PC monitor. Thus generated commands are passed to Stepper Motor Control unit through serial port. The Controller Module with the help of its memory resident program executes the received commands and shows current status of system to user at motor end on Display Module. The stepper motor is driven by Motor Driver Module.
