Tracking vehicles or costly assets is common in many fields or places viz., transport company, medical hospitals, industry tools, large employed Institutions etc. Automation of Home/Work place is common using such tracking facility. This is because it is hard to track the asses/vehicle frequently on needy time to get good results, which usually moved at un-chartable place by humans. The Vehicle Location Detector System can be used as remote monitoring device and monitor the vehicle direction by sitting at remote and comfortable place.
Objective: The objective is to construct the Vehicle Location Detector System, which allows remote user to monitor the vehicle’s direction/location by sitting at comfortable place. Note that giving instructions to vehicle unit can also be implemented with slight code and hardware change at both ends.
This System has two parts: Vehicle end and Receiver end. The Vehicle end has five modules: Location Detector Module, Controller Module, Display Module, Communication Module and Power Supply unit. The Location Detector Module sends detected GPS info or Global Positioning System information to Controller Module for further processing. Controller Module processes GPS info and display it on Display Module for local information purpose. Simultaneously Controller Module’s memory resident program generates location info SMS and send it to Communication Module for transmission purpose.
At Receiver end such Location info SMS message are received on Communication Module and processed, displayed on proper display.
The intended System needs GPS and GSM network around moving vehicle and remote user end.
Since only three modules are controlled, less care needed while designing and controlling system at vehicle end.
Applications & Features:
Automation of Home/Work place is common using such vehicle tracking facility.
If present system is used as asset tracking system, can be used in medical hospitals, industry tools, large employed Institutions etc.
The system is used as wireless remote monitor System at home/work-place.
Since single point monitor is possible, useful for non-technical people.
Since system is embedded type and wireless, portability is done very easily.
